I had a rather uncommon request—I wanted to apply for my Alberta ID using my other legal name. This was not a straightforward process, and I encountered many challenges along the way. However, Laura went above and beyond to assist me. Instead of dismissing my request due to its complexity, she took the initiative to communicate with government offices multiple times, advocating on my behalf and working tirelessly to find a solution. Throughout the entire process, Laura was incredibly friendly, proactive, and patient. Thanks to her dedication and persistence, I was ultimately able to get my Alberta ID with the name I wanted. Initially, I went to a registry office near my home, but unfortunately, I was treated very unkindly. In contrast, the service I received here was outstanding. I highly recommend this registry office to anyone looking for excellent service—you won’t regret choosing them!

excellent agency to deal with for both insurance and registration. I was just there and realized I was 20 minutes before it opened and Laura came out and waved me in as she saw me waiting was very kind and considerate and customer driven. I’ve dealt with the agency before for new evacuees and they went out of their way too arrange insurance for auto which is difficult sometimes but they made it work. Their entire team is super friendly and efficient.

We don’t live in Lethbridge but Ive went here a few times for different things, kids learners/drivers, multiple vehicle registrations and always had amazing customer service, professional, friendly, and super helpful. And then there was today’s visit. We got Trish…from the moment we walked in we were chipper and happy celebrating my kids birthday and I asked how she was. No friendly conversation back, she just looked at me. I carried on, we were registering our new camper and excited about it, apparently the kid had a ticket on there so ok we have to pay it, rather than explaining she just stared at me like I knew what she needed or wanted. So I tried to say like it would work better if she explained what she needed from me but I kept getting cut off and interrupted. She took offence and made our visit the worst experience possible. I understand nobody wants to work holidays and I’m sorry you’re not happy you’re working today but I didn’t schedule you. She was so rude and unprofessional, each time I tried to de escalate and just nicely say that I didn’t know what she needed, it would be better if she would explain or ask. She barked at me that she knows how to do her job just fine and she doesn’t need anyone telling her. Not quietly either she yelled these things loud enough for the entire office to hear. At first she was told by someone who came out of the back office to calm down and finish the transaction. Unfortunately as soon as this person turned around she snapped again. Thank you for showing my kids how to be unprofessional and what not to ever do when they get a job. Thank you to the kind soul who usually helps me and again helped me finish getting everything together as Trish refused to put my new registration in a pocket holder and just shoved all my documents at me. I appreciate your apology as well. The women who came out of her office did her best to interact with my kids and lighten the mood, I’m just disappointed honestly nothing more was said until we were leaving and she was called back. I’d have rather you stopped the transaction, allowed to go to someone who wanted to help and corrected her rude and unprofessional behaviour. This was entirely unacceptable.

My car was hit while parked at work on Sept 4, 2025. My manager reported it to the police after the people who hit the vehicle were non compliant by refusing to give their insurance information. She did this without my knowledge or consent. I took it to the police station on Sept 4, when she said to. Since then, I was contacted by intact insurance and they assessed the damage as greater than the car value, writing it off. I was explicitly told several times that I had 2 years from the incident date to settle the claim and could keep driving the car until an agreement was made. I was sent one email stating that the car value was about $2900, and after all the pluses and minuses, that about $2600 would be transferred to me. I spoke to the case worker, and stated that having looked online for a vehicle of similar quality and kms, it is not feasible to replace the car with that amount. She stated that was from the adjuster and that the settlement amount she was offering is about 3500$, minus about 400$ if I buy the car back. This is odd because the Dunlop assessor clearly stated to me that their estimated total for all necessary repairs is 2900$. I also clearly stated that I did not agree to that settlement amount and I wanted to go to arbitration. stated that was fine and I could take my time to gather documents and all of that. I found out TODAY after it was done that my car status is changed to salvage immediately, which prohibits me from driving the car legally to and from work. This increased my stress load significantly because I work days so I don't have my phone with me while on the job. I have a lot on my plate right now and the car damage is shallow cosmetics. I do not understand why the car is being written off when it is less to repair at the shop than the offer they gave. I want to speak to management because I am being pressured to make a decision against my will - to buy something unreliable or unaffordable faster than I am comfortable with. These things were not clearly explained to me ahead of time and I am upset because I have expressed this situation and the stresses very many times to many people and nobody seems to know or care. This is undue stress, duress, and misinformation or unclear communication and I should not have to deal with the stress of it all. The vehicle is in excellent shape, reliable, and not fairly settled, if I am to buy another. That means that the settlement amount won't even cover half of a decent car, according to what I've seen available locally. Taking away my right to drive the car suddenly and letting me know after it was done, without notice, is not ok. Rental coverage ended as soon as the settlement amount was given to me. Everything was extremely rushed and I was not notified clearly ahead of time. I asked to speak to a manager immediately because I need this car for work in the morning tomorrow, and was told a call back offer would be submitted and that someone would get back to me in 48 - 72 hours. That does not help at all, since I do not have my phone on me at work, or it's on silent. I had submitted photos before power washing my car and it looks much better, with light scratches on the front and back bumpers. I do not mind driving it with the little bits of paint scratched off, as it is otherwise in excellent shape. I have had no say in any of this but have to bear increasing burdens in this matter. If you are thinking of insurance with this company, look elsewhere for your own dignity. I feel pressured to lose my good car because of light cosmetic damage, forced to buy something crappy and/or unaffordable, and not believed or helped when I reach out to tge appropriate people and explain things clearly and repeatedly. I want to file a formal complaint as high up as possible, as soon as possible, because (again), this is duress and undue stress to me. I signed no forms and was not given the chance to negotiate settlement before this was done. I had agreed to and signed nothing and wanted to negotiate or dispute and was not given the chance to do so.

I’ve been working with Schwartz Reliance Insurance & Registries for years now, and I can honestly say they’ve consistently delivered exceptional service. I primarily deal with Spencer Unruh, and he has been a major reason I’ve moved all my insurance needs—auto, home, and commercial—over to Schwartz. Spencer is incredibly straightforward, easy to work with, and has a great personality that makes every interaction smooth and stress-free. He takes the time to explain things clearly, offers honest recommendations, and truly looks out for what’s best for his clients. It’s rare to find someone who is both knowledgeable and genuinely personable, and Spencer is exactly that. Schwartz has always been very competitive with pricing, but what really sets them apart is how seamless they make the entire process. Whether it’s personal insurance or business-related coverage, I’ve always felt confident that everything is handled properly and efficiently. Because of the level of service I’ve received from Spencer, I’ve brought all my personal and business insurance needs here—and I have zero regrets. If you’re looking for a brokerage that combines professionalism, competitive rates, and outstanding customer care, I highly recommend Spencer @ Schwartz Reliance Insurance & Registries.
