If you want a hassle with a claim go with these guys.get all talks or whatever from adjuster in writing.. or tape record all conversation they will use legal terms to discredit you..more to come

Changed their house insurance payment plans to 3 payments not 4, used to send out bill reminders but stopped without notice.... frustrating!!!

I just bought a trailer in Portage. I'm from Winnipeg and needed to insure it to get it home. I just got out of hospital yesterday due to kidney stones. I asked to use their bathroom and they absolutely refused and were quite rude about it. I left to go somewhere else and buy my insurance.

I cancelled a policy as a property was being sold. They failed to stop the payment despite ample notice and charged an additional payment once the property was sold and gone. Then they sent a bill for more money. When I inquired they could not explain how it was calculated but merely said they are charging the absolute most allowable cancellation penalty according to the legislated limits. After speaking with 4 people, 3 of whom couldn't even explain what had occurred, they even explained that this was within their discretion to charge the fee or not, and they chose to charge the fee. It was a strange choice, considering claims history, length of relationship, and potential for future business. l I will pay the bill but I would not use this firm again. I have property in two of the provinces in which they operate. We have owned many properties but never had this experience of being first overcharged, and then charged more to cancel.
