I had very bad experience with intact insurance... making fool to their customers and charge amount according to their choices.. earlier they said different prices and after they charge different prices... i think that's worst experience of my life... I suggest everyone not to go with james insurance in future....

Great company, and people. Have a few properties and vehicles insured through them. A few claims over the years (sorry Jamie), a LOT of claims over the years, auto and property. No troubles at all.

I haven’t used James Gordon for insurance, however I had a very good experience with James yesterday. I was in Cobourg visiting family to celebrate a birthday and it coincided with Ribfest. Parking everywhere in the downtown area was packed, so I was driving around for nearly half an hour trying to get a spot when a man waved me down and asked if I was looking for parking. When I told him I was, he said that I could park behind his business where he parks his car, in his private driveway. He then went to another vehicle behind me and told them the same thing. James didn’t ask for any money or anything in return. Although I can’t speak from experience with his business practice, I can only assume he’d be as kind and pleasant to deal with, if this is the way he treats strangers looking for parking. Thanks James and I hope you were able to get some ribs!

I expect companies to take responsibility for their employees when misinformation is provided. I also expect companies to apologize for inconveniences that they, and their employees, cause due to misinformation. Unfortunately, apparently that is too much to ask for from this group. We were specifically told by one of their employees that our auto insurance was increasing due to the distance my husband drives per day to work. And promptly our insurance company resent our paperwork increasing by $46/month, which is a lot for us. The employee told my husband this was due to him spending more time on the road risking accident, and she said that she had put him in the 70km bracket instead of 90km bracket because the 90km bracket was the most expensive. Now, we have had a change, and my husband is not driving so far anymore, so we called to change the insurance to bring our rate back down. We are being told now that the employee no longer works there and our policy is not based on km driven, it supposedly does not affect what we are charged. They are trying to say that our insurance company must have just coincidentally increased the rate on its own, but not due to what the employee told us, and therefore we will not receive a reduction in our rate. They are saying the only reason they can see would be due to minor convictions that happened long before the increase in our insurance rate. Not applicable as those 2 minor convictions had already been factored in, especially one that was years ago. The second more recent had already been discussed with the employee as well, and we received the increase for that prior to the $46 separate increase for the km driven. We received no acknowledgment that they did anything wrong. And I'm not sure who to even believe, the employee who is now gone, or those who are left. The explanation from the employee who is gone lined up at least. As it is, we are stuck with this $46/month increase for who knows what actual reason at this point, but I do not care for the lack of actual customer service.
