Equitable Life Insurance Co Of Canada

Worst insurance company to exist. They do not cover 3/4 of the medication’s that I need to take. They offer no assistance or communication. No medical care for diabetics. I am in disbelief of the lack of coverage from this company.

Worst insurance company ever. Promised 80% coverage — then paid only 80% of a capped ‘reasonable’ rate I never saw in my plan. Customer service stonewalled and couldn’t point to any clause. Left with a huge unexpected bill. Do NOT trust them without written proof.

Worst possible service. I have company health insurance with Equitable. Almost everytime, bills are not processed and I have to follow up with them on the phone. This is terrible service. I have had insurance with Canada Life and Sunlife previously through my previous employers and never faced any issues at all. At Equitable, everything is lengthy, delayed and terrible. I buy this service with my pay check from my company and I feel like I am begging for the payment. Most of my bills are straight forward like massage, medicine.

Update They apologized and made things right. Thank you. Handed everything that was needed in and still declined it. They waited till end of day before they close for the weekend so they can’t help you either. The letter said what I needed to submit for it to be approved and it was EXACTLY WHAT I SUBMITTED. What is the point of having an online system if it can’t do easy tasks like put through the paperwork submitted. Anxiously awaiting Monday morning at 8:30 when they open to give them a call.

Very Very poor low level service. My broker selected them for FHSA acc but I didn’t know their service is so so poor and don’t pick up the calls. To tranfer an account it’s 60 days wait and they don’t pick the calls from my another institution and when I call them I’m on hold for more than one hour and the agents hang up. It’s crazy while this 60 days wait period this equitable invested your money in market and making money of you. The one star reviews says it all. Run guys
