This review is about the incredibly incompetent service I received from road side assistance. Early Sunday morning, about 1:am I drove my granddaughter and her friend home. On my way back home my vehicle stopped. A kind gentleman tried to help but couldn't get my car started. Thank you to all those who stopped to offer help. I called CAA around 1:30 am. I was told that someone would be there at 2:30 am, a hour wait. I called back again several times to give them more information. No answer. No one showed up at 2:30. I called again. I was told it would be another hour wait. I waited about half an hour and thankfully I was finally able to get my vehicle and me home. Just as I got home I got I got a call from the tow truck operator asking where about I was. I told him that I was finally able to get myself home and couldn't wait another hour for him and that I had been sitting in the side of the toad since just before 1:30 am. It was now 3:am. He was very polite and apologized but also told me he had only just got the call 10 minutes before from CAA's contractor. That SOB left a 75 year old woman stranded in Brandon at night on her own. A big thank you to the tow truck driver who showed up as soon as he got the call. But unless CAA can provide the excellent service it used to offer I will cancel this now useless service. A big 👎to your foreign contractor. I am still so angry at the very lousy service received.
Time Runs
Got of work at 6 after a 12 hr shift to a flat tire. Called CAA and they were there in about 15-20 minutes, Chris was super helpful and had the tire plugged in no time. Excellent service from Chris. CAA did it again, John one of there contractors from full tilt towing, a very pleasant person and great driver, hauled me out of Redieu after I got stuck. Great service.
My Road to Thailand
Non member but I stopped in for an international drivers license so I can legally drive when I get to Thailand. The lady that helped me was very friendly and helpful. Oxsana is her name and I'm sure I spelt it wrong.

A very good experience. I am driving from Montreal to Edmonton with a vehicle I purchased and therefore have a temporary “In Transit” permit. It was due to expire so I thought CAA was the place to renew it. It wasn’t the right place but they really worked to explain Manitoba methods and guided me to what should have been the right place. When that place couldn’t help me I returned to CAA for more advice and they were apologetic, saying they knew it was possible. The male employee got on the phone, and at the same time googled for further information. They sent me to another insurance Broker, one of the women there found the hours and saw I could still get there that evening. It all worked out so well, due to the assistance of the CAA staff. In all the running around I lost an earring and they were on the floor, some on hands and knees, others moving things to help me look for it. Amazing on a Friday night when they must have really wanted to go home! (I did find the earring at my cousin’s)
