I was referred to Lisa Egan at Allstate by a friend of mine. Reaching out was the best decision I have made. Right away, Lisa didn't hesitate to evaluate my current situation and begin planning a solution. Not only did she go out of her way to contact me on my late schedule, she did an outstanding job with setting up my new policy. Allstate has offered me better rates, better customer service and accessibility (through their easy to use apps) than any company i have dealt with in the past. Lisa walked me through every part of the process and made it such an easy decision for me to move my Auto insurance over to Allstate immediately. I am not yet a home owner but there are fantastic bundle options available for home owners as well. This makes me feel comfortable dealing with the same friendly service for all of my needs going into the future. I would recommend anyone to call Lisa at Collingwood Allstate if you have any issues at all with your current insurance provider, She may be able to better your situation just like mine. I have auto and tenants insurance with Allstate. I tried calling multiple times to get a quote on a new vehicle and waiting on hold multiple times for 30-45 minutes. I thought I'd go up to the office to get a quote in person and there was no one there that could help me. I was told I could go to the conference room and dial direct to their 1-800 number, or wait until next week until someone was back in the office. I'm paying $1000 a year for tenant insurance, and when I called around to get quotes from other agencies I was quoted $275-300/year for better coverage than what Allstate offers. I updated my payment info with them last year after moving to a new bank. They changed the info on my auto policy but not my tenants policy. They then threatened to cancel my policy and I was stuck with NSF fees from my bank. They did fix the issue but never refunded my NSF payments even though it was their error. I would avoid Allstate if you want to talk to a real person or get any sort of customer service.

My husband died last July and I was treated very ignorantly by Tom in the Sault Ste Marie office. Not just once. I asked for help and he didn't care. He told me to go somewhere else for insurance. Real nice. Thanks for nothing.

Heidi was very knowledgeable and very efficient. Any questions or concerns we had along the way she answered all of our questions and helped us make a great decision switching insurance companies. Our old insurance forgot to cancel our old policy and I was a little stressed. Heidi remained calm and helped us cancel the other policy and get out money back. Would highly recommend Heidi as you insurance agent ๐๐ Heidi has done it again. Our son needed insurance for his new car and she got the best rate ever. She worked into the night to ensure our son would be insured for the morning. She is one of a kind and so caring. Five gold stars again ๐๐

Stay clear of the Sault Ste. Marie branch. I had my payments coming from a credit card that expired. I had sent my local agent a void cheque as replacement with no less than 3 requests to process my new void, AND had the outstanding balance taken out of my account in May. Two weeks later my home insurance "lapsed" due to "non-pay" which is like a black stain on your insurance history. When I would ask my agent for help and an explanation he would say "I'm on it" or "I'm working with an underwriter to fix it". This never happened.... Not only did they leave me without insurance, the manager made every effort to avoid talking to me (good luck contacting anyone at the local branch once your agent starts ghosting you to avoid facing their mistake), and went as far as to have the agent write a letter saying it was the banks fault for getting the banking info on the VOID incorrect (the same void they used to draw the funds from my account to make up the outstanding balance) and totally deflect any accountability from falling on his team. After a terrifying couple of weeks, Algoma Mutual saved our mortgage by stepping up for us and taking us on after reviewing the notes on our issues with Allstate. I reported this issue to their Ombudsman but was never contacted by an actual person and instead received an automated email telling me "our records show your issue is resolved. Please let us know how satisfied you are with our response"...... absolutely terrible branch and organization that will screw you over and walk away like they did nothing wrong. Literally almost cost us our mortgage and car lease and did nothing to make up for their errors, including their Ombudsman office who is by law required to intervene in cases like this. Never touch this company if you know what's best for you. I highly recommend Algoma Mutual Insurance instead.
