From Spreadsheets to AtlasBrokers: A Migration Guide

Feb 20, 20268 min read

If you're still managing your brokerage with spreadsheets, email, and sticky notes, you're not alone. Most brokerages start this way. But at some point, the manual process becomes a bottleneck.

Here's how to migrate to AtlasBrokers in under an hour.

Step 1: Export Your Data (5 minutes)

Export your existing contacts, deals, and clients from your spreadsheet as CSV files. AtlasBrokers accepts: - Contacts: Name, email, phone, company, and any custom fields - Deals: Title, value, stage, associated contact - Tasks: Title, due date, assignee, priority

Step 2: Create Your Workspace (2 minutes)

Sign up at atlasbrokers.ca and create your workspace. Choose your industry vertical (insurance, real estate, mortgage, financial services, or general) to get pre-configured pipeline stages and fields.

Step 3: Import Your Data (10 minutes)

Go to Settings → Import/Export and upload your CSV files. Our import wizard: - Auto-maps column headers to AtlasBrokers fields - Validates data before import - Shows a preview so you can verify everything looks right - Handles duplicates with merge or skip options

Step 4: Configure Your Pipeline (10 minutes)

Customize your deal stages to match your workflow: 1. Go to Settings → Pipeline 2. Add, rename, or reorder stages 3. Set up automation rules (e.g., auto-create a task when a deal enters a new stage)

Step 5: Invite Your Team (5 minutes)

Go to Settings → Team and invite your colleagues via email. Assign roles (Admin, Manager, Agent) based on their responsibilities.

Step 6: Set Up Integrations (10 minutes)

Connect your existing tools: - Email: Gmail or Outlook for two-way email sync - Calendar: Google Calendar or Outlook for meeting management - Phone: VoIP integration for call tracking

Step 7: Go Live

That's it. Your data is imported, your pipeline is configured, your team is invited, and your integrations are connected. Start managing your business from a single platform.
